Sparkling Margarita

At Ka Tahi, we love a wine cocktail, and couldn't go past a Sparkling Margarita without giving it a try.

This carafe-style cocktail recipe is perfect for hosting, and the Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc gives an extra refreshing lift to the classic margarita flavour.

You will need:

1 bottle of Ka Tahi Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc

90ml Blanco Tequila

90ml Triple Sec

240ml lime juice

60ml agave syrup (or adjust to your taste)

Salt for rimming and lime wheels for garnish (optional)

Method:

1.  In a large jug or carafe, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice and agave syrup.
2. Keep chilled until serving.
3. Run a lime wedge around each glass, and dip into salt before filling 1/3 - 1/2 of the glass (depending on how strong you want it to be) with the margarita mixture.
4. Top up the glass with Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc, a lime wedge to garnish, and enjoy!
